Our Story

How Sandyland Came to Be...

The original home, Americana…By the Sea was purchased by us in 2003 and served as our family beach house for many years. It was a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life in the Philadelphia area.

Since 2009 we have opened this home, as well as the Grand Belle…By the Sea, Delancy Place... By the Sea, and two beautifully appointed apartments for guests from all over the world to enjoy. We still live in the area and continue to maintain the houses as if we occupy them ourselves!

We have had a lot of fun collecting bits of Atlantic City nostalgia throughout the years, and pieces can be found in each of these houses, thoughtfully placed in unique and attractive ways.

Original prints from the very early days of Atlantic City's history, an original 1920's Rolling Chair pointed toward breathtaking Ocean and Boardwalk views, and Miss America memorabilia are just some of the decorative pieces found in Americana…By the Sea.

The Grand Belle... by the Sea boasts an original Bathhouse from the turn of the Century, which has been lovingly restored.

Delancy Place, one of the more recently built homes (1920), is a favorite for Bachelor and Bachelorette parties, with a large regulation-size pool table for an undeniable speakeasy feel!

Our guests at these beautifully restored homes are genuinely treated as "guests in our own home." As we did for so many years, we welcome you to experience and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of our southern New Jersey beaches and the many entertainment opportunities that Atlantic City has to offer. This is just one of the many reasons for the existence of Sandyland.

Have a look at each vacation rental, and let us know if we can help you!

Come "Down to the Shore" and join us!

Our Cleanliness Promise

Our highly qualified Sandyland Cleaning Team utilizes the following checklist based on CDC Guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting our homes and apartments:

  • Wear personal protective items (disposable gloves and facial coverings). Wash hands immediately after  removing these items.

  •            Ventilate all rooms before cleaning and open outside doors and windows to increase air                               circulation in the space before beginning to clean and disinfect.

  •            Wash hands thoroughly before and after each cleaning using proper hand washing techniques

  •            Clean using detergent or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the                         surface is clean, spray with a disinfectant, let it stand for a few minutes, then wipe. Use a new                     cleaning cloth for each guest.

  •            Avoids touching your face while cleaning. Do not touch your face, nose or eyes with unwashed                   hands.

  •            Use Proper cleaning solutions (70% alcohol), paying special attention to frequently touched                       surfaces, faucet handles, light switches, doorknobs, and remote controls.

  •            Wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended by the manufacturer using Lysol                           Laundry Sanitizer in every load. Wear gloves when handling dirty laundry, and take care to avoid                 shaking laundry, which could increase the spread of germs.

  •            Empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning.

  •            Line all trash cans.

  •            Dispose of or wash cleaning supplies. Remove paper towels, disinfectant wipes, and other                           disposable cleaning supplies from the house after you finish cleaning. Wash cleaning cloths and                 other reusable products at the highest heat setting appropriate for the material.

  •            Complete an Interior Fogging

In order to add an additional layer of protection, we are treating all our properties with interior                                     fogging between stays. This is simply a quick-drying disinfecting process, similar to what                                               restaurants, airlines, and hospitals use to disinfect large, multi-surface spaces. The purpose is to                                 create and disperse a disinfectant aerosol to reduce the numbers of airborne micro-organisms                                   and also to apply disinfectant to surfaces that may be difficult to reach.
